Through funds raised at Delta Bingo in Pickering in partnership with the OLG, Rose of Durham is provided with over $20,000 per year to use towards programs.

The various councils of the Knights of Columbus were major supporters 30+ years ago when Rose of Durham opened its doors and remain major annual supporters.

The Durham Catholic District School Board supports our young parent school program by providing support such as teachers and guidance. This program allows young parents to remain engaged in the main stream education system and often results in increased success of graduation.

We partner with Carea at both their Oshawa and Ajax locations in the provision of services, as well as with the Oshawa Children’s Community Fair.

Durham Children’s Aid Society works closely with us to ensure that young parents are supported. They assist with this by funding two of our parenting programs including Basic Connections and What a Difference a Dad Makes.

Feed the Need Durham is a vital partner not just to us but to the entire community. Our partnership with them ensures that all our families have access to perishable, non-perishable and household items as needed and required.

We partner with the Region of Durham’s Health Department in the offering of SMILE which is a prenatal education program geared towards women under the age of 26. The Region of Durham also provides $35,000 of funding annually to the Agency.

Our newest partnership is a collaborative with EARLY ON and FCAP that provides Rose of Durham with an ECE 3 days per week to help run our social programs that help reduce the barriers to social inclusion.

Our agency has always been part of the support system that is Food 4 Thought throughout Durham Region, but we were very excited to grow this partnership after our recent move to host one of their sites here on Mondays.

A long standing partnership with the Oshawa Public Libraries has them attend Mommy and Me each week to do story time, and they also provide special themed photos for all holidays. This year we expanded the partnership to also offer bibliotherapy to the school program.

The only other Catholic Agency in Durham Region and our new landlord. This has been a long time coming, but we are very excited that in August of 2018 we were finally able to co-locate and save back end costs which allowed us to increase efficiencies and increase funding for front line services.
