Summer Program

We provide trips every Wednesday from July through to the end of August. Excursions include Cedar Park, Bowmanville Zoo, the Fire Hall, and Library. Scrap booking sessions, potluck lunches, pizza and sundae parties are a few of the activities that take place during an average summer at the Rose.

The program is designed to teach young parents how to: Utilize services and facilities within the community; look up and use bus routes and schedules; adequately plan for a day away from home with their child, all in a format that provides activities and fun opportunities.

The program is run and facilitated by a summer student hired through the Human Resources Development Fund offered by Service Canada.
